What Manzia can and can’t see
When you work through a task on Manzia you can share the Agent’s tab, so the steps can point at what is actually on your screen instead of describing it. Sharing is optional, and the steps work without it. This is exactly what it lets Manzia see, and what it doesn’t.
What you share
- One tab, which you pick in your browser's own picker. If the picker hands over a window or your whole screen instead, Manzia stops it straight away without looking and asks for the tab.
- Your browser shows that the tab is being shared for as long as it is, with its own Stop sharing button. Manzia can't hide, change or fake either of them.
- Sharing ends when you press Stop sharing, close the tab, or leave or reload the Manzia page.
When Manzia looks
- Not all the time. A shared tab is not a video feed: Manzia takes a single still picture only when seeing your screen changes the answer — on steps written for your run rather than proven by other people's, on steps that may be out of date, when you say Didn't work or Still stuck, or when you ask about something on your screen.
- On a step that other people have already completed as written, and that is going fine, Manzia takes no picture at all.
- It doesn't ask to look during a step where you sign in or pay, and says so first. If you want certainty rather than a promise, Stop sharing is always there.
- At most 12 pictures in one conversation. After that, the steps describe where things are instead.
What happens to a picture
- It is shrunk to at most 1280 pixels across and sent straight to Manzia’s storage, where an AI model reads it once to say which site it shows and where the thing you need is.
- It is deleted in the same turn it was taken for. (Storage also removes anything left over after a day, as a backstop.)
- Your conversation records only that a step was watched — never what was on your screen. A picture never becomes part of your conversation, a playbook, or anything shared with an Agent’s vendor.
What Manzia can't see or do
- Other tabs, other windows, your desktop, or sound — only the pixels of the tab you picked, and only when it looks.
- Anything behind the pixels: no page code, no form contents, no cookies, and nothing you type into other tabs.
- It can't click, type, sign in or pay. You do every action yourself, in your own browser, on the Agent's own site.
Where it works
- On a computer, in Chrome or Edge — the browsers whose picker offers a single tab. Other browsers can share only windows or whole screens, which Manzia doesn’t accept.
- Not on phones, which can't share a tab. There, and whenever you'd rather not share, the steps describe where things are, and you can send a screenshot with + if you get stuck.
- Manzia offers it once in a run, right after you've signed in to the Agent. After that, + → Share a tab is always there — for a new tab, or if you change your mind.
